CALL FOR AUDITIONS

Auditions for the 2010 Summer Season will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 1:30-5:00 pm at the Larry Cervi School of Performing Arts, located in the Parkway Building, 339 Haymaker Road, Monroeville, PA. Cast roles are available for male and female performers between the ages of 12 and 18. Candidates interested in auditioning should prepare and provide sheet music for 32 bars of a ballad and 32 bars of an up-tempo selection, and should be prepared to learn a short dance routine. During the summer season, the East End Kids perform at venues such as Kennywood and Sandcastle, the Three Rivers Arts Festival, various Community Festivals, and one out-of-state venue. The group returned to WALT DISNEY WORLD in Orlando, Florida in June 2009, and plans are underway for a trip to New York City in June 2010 with a performance at the Southstreet Seaport.

Summer Season
Auditions for the summer season are held each January, followed by rehearsals February through May. Shows run May through August.

Holiday Season
Auditions for the holiday season are held in August. Rehearsals run September through November, and performances run late November through early January.

Rehearsals
The East End Kids rehearse each Sunday from 1:30 to 5:00 pm, and the rehearsal is divided with half of the time in choreography and half in vocal instruction.

Camps
Fine tuning the show takes place at Camp which may be called by the Director. Camps usually run for two days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and may be concurrent Saturday/Sunday, or may be held on separate weekends.
