CALL FOR AUDITIONS
AUDITIONS FOR THE SUMMER 2012 SEASON WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 15th BEGINNING AT 12:30 PM. Contact Larry Cervi at 412-418-0797 to schedule an audition time.
Auditions for ensemble roles in the East End Kids are held twice a year (in January and September) at the Larry Cervi School of Performing Arts, located at 339 Haymaker Road in Monroeville, PA. Cast roles are available each season for male and female performers between the ages of 12 and 18. Candidates interested in auditioning should prepare 32 bars of a ballad and 32 bars of an up-tempo selection (Broadway style preferred), and wear comfortable clothing for a short dance routine. Please remember to bring cd accompaniments for your vocal audition selections, or be prepared to sing a capella.
PERFORMANCE VENUES
The East End Kids perform at venues such as Kennywood and Sandcastle, the Three Rivers Arts Festival, various Community Festivals, assisted living facilities, veterans centers, hospitals, and corporate and private events, as well as one optional out-of-state venue each summer. East End Kids have performed at Walt Disney World, DisneyLand, EuroDisney in Paris, the Circus Circus in Las Vegas, the Southstreet Seaport in New York, and aboard Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas Cruiseliner.
SUMMER SEASON
Auditions for the summer season are held each January, followed by rehearsals February through May. Shows run May through August.
WINTER SEASON
Auditions for the holiday season are held in September. Rehearsals run September through November, and performances run late November through early January.
REHEARSALS
The East End Kids rehearse each Sunday from 1:30 to 5:00 pm, and the rehearsal is divided with half of the time in choreography and half in vocal instruction.
CAMPS
Fine tuning the show takes place at Camp which may be called by the Director. Camps usually run for two days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and may be concurrent Saturday/Sunday, or may be held on separate weekends. |
