East End Kids Selected to perform at Hay Day at Hartwood October 10, 2009
The East End Kids will provide entertainment at Hay Day at Hartwood this year at the Middle Road performance area of Hartwood Acres in Blawnox.
The day's activities include hay rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, arts & crafts, and plenty of food. Admission is free. |

East End Kids Returned to Walt Disney World in June 2009
The East End Kids were excited to return to Walt Disney World June 13-17, 2009 where they performed their summer show, "On Broadway". This marks the fourth time the ensemble has performed at Walt Disney World in Orlando. They have also performed at Disneyland in California, and Euro Disney in Paris, France.

End Kids to Perform at Fifth Avenue Place
Pittsburgh's own East End Kids will present their current show, “Encore!
The Music of Our Times” at Fifth Avenue Place at 12:00 pm on Wednesday,
August 20, 2008.
The East End Kids, a pre-professional entertainment ensemble founded
in 1990 by artistic director Larry Cervi, has become Pittsburgh's
premier teen performance ensemble. Young men and women ages 12 to
18 audition for the cast, and come from many school districts throughout
the greater Pittsburgh region.
“Encore! The Music of Our Times”, is a 35-minute fully choreographed
show featuring three-part harmonies, vocal solos, professional costumes,
sets, and musical accompaniment. This show is a nostalgic tip-of-the-hat
to the great songwriters and artists that brought America's music
to the world, and includes many notable tunes: Dancing in the
Street • Boogie Fever • Footloose • It Don't Mean a Thing (If it
Ain't Got That Swing) • On the Sunny Side of the Street • Rock and
Roll is Here to Stay • That Old Black Magic • Turn The Beat Around • Twist
And Shout • Celebrate • and more!
The East End Kids perform at corporate, private, and community events,
and perform community service with performances at assisted living
and veteran's facilities and hospitals. This summer the East End
Kids performed at the Monroeville FamilyFest, Six Flags America in
Baltimore, Maryland, the Three Rivers Arts Festival, Sandcastle Waterpark,
and Kennywood Park.

Kids Events: October Innocence, Dreams of Hope, East End Kids

When the Three Rivers Arts Festival rolls into its third and final weekend, the UPMC Health Plan Family Festival will be ready to entertain both young and old audiences with its last few performances.
East End Kids, a song-and-dance troupe, will perform at 5:15 p.m. Saturday. The group's 26 members, ages 12 to 18, come from all over the Pittsburgh area and have performed in places including Disney World, Toronto and New York. They will perform "Encore! The Music of Our Times," a medley of many songs that will include three-part harmony and some solos. The show includes the songs "One Sweet Day," "Dancin' in the Street," "Physical," "Rhythm of the Night" and "That Old Black Magic."
"The audience ... will appreciate the talent," says Larry Cervi, director of East End Kids, and owner of the Larry Cervi School of Performing Arts in Monroeville . "They sound so good together, so exuberant." |
