About East End Kids
The East End Kids are a song and dance ensemble comprised of young male and female performers between the ages of 12 and 18. Professional vocal and dance instruction is complemented with confidence building, teamwork, and performance skill. Auditions are held twice a year (in January and September) at the Destella Dance Centre located at 5820 Kennedy Ave in Export, Pennsylvania before the start of the summer and winter show seasons. Rehearsals for the ensemble are held on Sundays from 1:30pm – 5:00pm at the Destella Dance Centre and are split between choreography and vocal instruction.
Rehearsals for the summer season are held from January through May, while rehearsals for the winter season are held from September through November. The summer show season usually runs from late May through late August/early September, and the winter season usually runs from late November through December. There are approximately 20-25 shows per season.
